Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, later Edward VII (1841-1910)
1858-60RCIN 2082678
Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of Albert Edward, Prince of Wales seated on a decorative balustrade. The prince wears civilian clothing and holds an umbrella in front of him. His legs are crossed. A top hat has been placed on the balustrade beside him.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative do not seem to exist in the Collection, however a variant from the same sitting is represented by RCIN 2910726.
