6.5" x 4 ¾" glass plate negative showing a member of the Royal Horse Guards, known as 'The Blues', standing next to his horse, both almost in profile to the right, on a path cutting through flat grassy terrain with a large bare tree in the middle ground and a fence running along one side of the path. Bare trees and a large building (Windsor Castle?) in the background.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative exist in the Collection (e.g. RCIN 2800730).
