This memorial object contains a coloured over photograph of a head and shoulder length portrait of Prince Albert. The photograph is set in an ivory frame with gilt-metal border. The border is engraved with the inscription 'DEAR PAPA / DEC. 14. 1861'. The photograph is by John Edwin Mayall, and shows similarities to Bryan Edward Duppa's portrait
