Hand-coloured photograph of Prince Albert (1819-61), seated on a grassy knoll. His body faces to the left but his head is turned to the right. His left hand rests at the top of his left leg, and he holds a cane and a wide-brimmed white hat in his right hand. He is wearing the Garter sash under a plaid waistcoat. Rural landscape in the background. Signed by the colourist in the bottom right hand corner.

This is also listed in the Redgrave inventory, sheet RCIN 2946776, which shows a photograph of the original, taken by William Bambridge.
