Letter reporting the passing of the Bill to extend the Metropolitan Railway from Paddington to the South Kensington Museum, the defeat of the proposal to hold a Commission of Enquiry into the Patent Office and museum, the Government's plans for a museum of invention, rather than a patent museum, and a place to house the bones of the great whale recently purchased in Scotland.
