Letter from the Netherlands Ambassador to Dr. Ernst Becker announcing that permission has been given for the photographing of the Raphael drawings in the Teyler Museum at Haarlem.

Count Bentinck writes that the Directors of the Teyler Museum have agreed to allow their collection of Raphael drawings to be photographed for the Prince Consort. If HRH wishes to send a photographer from England to carry out the work, the Ambassador will be pleased to provide him with an introduction. Becker wrote a copy of his reply on the inside page of the letter, saying that he had found a photographer, but adding that the Prince Consort would first like to know whether the Directors had any objection to the publication of the photographs, for 'it would be very much in the interest of the artistic public in general' if the photographs were made as accessible as possible.
