PILOTY & LOEHLE : MUNICH
Letter from Piloty & Loehle to Dr. Ernst Becker announcing that the lithographs of the two Raphael pictures in Munich have been made and the first 20 prints will be sent to him next day
26 Aug 1856Loose manuscript paper; mounted | 1 document (2 pages) (whole object) | RA VIC/ADDA10/85/342
The writer informs Becker that the lithographs commissioned by the Prince Consort of the two paintings by Raphael in Munich, the Baptism of Christ and the Resurrection, have been completed and the first 20 'avant la lettre' examples of each will be sent to Becker tomorrow.
Piloty & Loehle's bill for the work (not present) accompanies this letter, and the writer asks Becker to arrange for it to be paid in full, without deductions for currency exchange charges. These were deducted from the last payment Becker made.
A note by Becker at the top of the letter records his reply promising to make sure that this and future bills will be paid in full.
