Letter from Lord Grey to Prince Albert enclosing a copy of a paper regarding the proposed conditions on which pensioners should be engaged to serve in New Zealand (not present) and that they be named the Royal New Zealand Fencibles. Grey also thanks the Prince for the attention he has given to his memorandum on the state of the army and corrects a mistake in his previous correspondence as to the length of the term to which soldiers be entitled in the future.
