      Letter from Lord Aberdeen to Prince Albert enclosing a despatch from Mr Strangeways (not present) and asking that Queen Victoria and the Prince check its contents before he replies. He states that he will advise Mr Strangeways to decline the offer made by the Minister of the Grand Duke of Hesse and at the same time expresses the Queen's acknowledgements.
