Letter from Lord Aberdeen to Prince Albert

Lord Aberdeen refers to an enclosed note (not present) and the proposed arrangement regarding Mr Murray. He writes that the appointment of both offices will be gazetted at the same time if Prince Albert approves. Lord Aberdeen also mentions a joke from Sir Robert Peel that alluded to a correspondence between the Count de Jarnac and the Windsor butcher which appeared in the Morning Post. He writes that the correspondence referred to providing the King of the French with some prize beef.
