Letter from Lord Aberdeen to Prince Albert
24 Aug 1844Loose manuscript paper; mounted | 1 document (3 pages) (whole object) | RA VIC/MAIN/M/52/117
Lord Aberdeen encloses a letter (not present) from M. Guizot and expresses his relief at its contents. He states that Mr Drummond Hay's reports are confusing despite his confidence in his own success. Lord Aberdeen also mentions that he has spoken to M. [Sylvain] Van de Weyer and that therefore any further communication from King Leopold [of the Belgians] will be unnecessary.
