Letter from Ernst Stockmar to Dr. Ernst Becker sending negatives of two Raphael drawings in private possession in Berlin.

Stockmar begins by thanking Becker for books about the Crimea. He goes on to say he is sending two negative photographs of drawings purported to be by Raphael, in the possession of Minister von Savigny and Dr. Poselger respectively. He thinks they are good, given the state of the originals, and draws attention to the fact that the Savigny drawing is inked, and the other mounted on canvas, which shows through. He has sent the bill to Phipps. Stockmar adds a comment on a letter from Fischer which he is returning to Becker, concerning shares (presumably belonging to Stockmar's employer) which Fischer thinks ought to have been exchanged for state bonds. Stockmar points out that he did not have the authority to do this at the time when it would have been advantageous. He concludes by saying that Princess Frederick William does not require any more photographs at present.
