Kuhlmann states that he has been asked by his society to express its thanks for the two photographs of drawings in the Prince's collection which Dr. Becker has sent, and which will be added to the album [of photographs of other drawings] which the Prince sent earlier. The society also wishes him to inform the Prince that it has decided, along with the town council, to authorise M. Bingham to photograph the principal drawings in the Musée Wicar, as requested by the Prince. They are very anxious that the Prince, as someone who has 'placed himself at the head of the artistic movement in Europe' should allow the photographs to be published under his patronage.
