Writing from Rome, the Princess asks Princess Helena to tell Ruland that she has asked the Prussian Consul at Naples, Mr Stolte, to make enquiries and obtain the necessary permission for the photographing of any works by Raphael not yet in the Prince Consort's collection, and she suggests Ruland contact him direct to find out what progress has been made.
She thinks the Prince of Wales has spoken to Mr Severn, the British Consul, about arrangements to photograph Raphael's works in Rome.
