Albumen print | 23.2 x 28.9 cm (sheet of paper) | RCIN 853514

A photograph of a drawing in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London (inv.no.DYCE185), attributed to Giovanni Francesco Penni. The drawing is the design for the fresco 'The infant Moses found by the river' painted by the workshop of Raphael (c.1517-19) in the vault of the eighth bay of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican.

There is a long inscription on the verso of the original drawing in the hand of A.M. Zanetti which gives the drawing's early provenance.
