A chromolithograph reproducing a fresco of the 'Expulsion from Paradise' by Masaccio (c.1424-7) in the Brancacci Chapel in the Santa Maria del Carmine in Florence. The scene is very similar to the fresco of the 'Expulsion from Paradise' painted by the workshop of Raphael (c.1517-19) in the vault of the second bay of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican. Published by the Arundel Society; issued by subscription in 1861 as part of a series of chromolithographs, carried out under the direction of Ludwig Grüner, reproducing the fresco cycle of the Brancacci Chapel.
