An engraving reproducing, with some differences, the fresco The adoration of the golden calf painted by the workshop of Raphael (c.1517-19) in the vault of the ninth bay of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican. Lettered with the name of the engraver, the date and the attribution of the composition to Raphael. Also lettered with the scriptural reference (Exodus 32). On watermarked paper. Trimmed to image.
