A print after the fresco The adoration of the golden calf painted by the workshop of Raphael (c.1517-19) in the vault of the ninth bay of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican. Lettered with Bible quote in Latin (Exodus 32) and attribution of the composition to Raphael. Signed with the engraver's monogram at lower right (see Nagler, IV, no.2360). Numbered on plate at lower right: 32. On watermarked paper. Trimmed, irregularly, to platemark. Squared up with red crayon. Not included in Ruland (1876).
