A chiaroscuro woodcut after a drawing in the British Museum (BM.inv.no.1860,0616.82), considered the modello for the fresco of Jacob's dream painted by the workshop of Raphael (c.1517-19) in the vault of the sixth bay of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican. Lettered lower right 'RA.V'.

This woodcut was made by Ugo da Carpi from the modello drawing, attributed to Giovanfrancesco Penni, for the fresco. See RCIN 853461 for a photograph of the drawing.
