A lithograph by Piloty reproducing a detail of a seated figure from a drawing, once probably in Munich, after the almost entirely destroyed fresco 'Jacob wrestles with the angel' painted by the workshop of Raphael (c.1517-19) in the basamento of the sixth bay of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican. Lettered with attribution of the composition to Raphael and signed by the printmaker. Printed within an imitation of a ruled pen and ink border.
