A facsimile of a drawing by Raphael (c.1509) now in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford (inv. no.552r). Lettered with title and production details. Published in W.Y. Ottley's Italian School of Design, London 1823.

The drawing is a preparatory study for the bas-relief in grisaille under the statue of Apollo on the left side of Raphael's School of Athens, painted in c.1509-10 in the Stanza della Segnatura in the Vatican.
