Title-page to a series of plates reproducing, in reverse, the monochromatic frieze-like scenes illustrating episodes from the life of Pope Leo X in the borders the Sistine Chapel tapestries designed by Raphael and his studio. The plates were etched by Pietro Santi Bartoli and the series was published in Rome by Gian Giacomo de Rossi with dedication to Prince Leopoldo de' Medici.
