A reversed engraving after Raphael's design for the tapestry of 'The Conversion of the Proconsul', one the ten tapestries illustrating episodes from the lives of St Peter and St Paul commissioned by Pope Leo X for the Sistine Chapel. First state. Signed with engraver's monogram: AV, and dated: 1516, at upper right. Lettered on the base of the throne at lower centre.
