A set of photographs showing details from the cartoon of The Conversion of the Proconsul (Acts of the Apostles, Chapter 13, 6-12), executed by Raphael and his workshop for one of the ten tapestries illustrating episodes from the lives of St Peter and St Paul commissioned by Pope Leo X for the Sistine Chapel. The photographed cartoon is one of the seven that have survived, all of which are now in the Victoria and Albert Museum on loan from the Royal Collection. The ten original tapestries were woven in the workshop of Pieter van Aelst and are currently housed in the Vatican Museums.
