A facsimile of a drawing then in the Praun Collection at Nuremberg. Dated and lettered with details. With pencil annotations on both sides. Not in Ruland (1876). Published in Johann Gottlieb Prestel, 'Dessins des meilleurs Peintres d'Italie, d'Allemagne, et des Pays-Bas, du Cabinet de Monsieur Paul de Praun à Nuremberg', 1780, plate 21. Another impression can be found at RCIN 853178.
The composition corresponds with the right half of Raphael's tapestry cartoon of 'The Sacrifice at Lystra', designed in c.1515-16 for one the Sistine Chapel tapestries commissioned by Pope Leo X (see RCIN 912949).
