The Uffizi drawing is generally considered a copy by the workshop of Raphael of a highly finished modello by the master now in the Louvre, Paris (inv. no.3863) for the tapestry cartoon of Christ's Charge to Peter. A photograph of the Louvre drawing can be found at RCIN 853047.
