Three men sacrificing a pig

c.1547-1585

Engraving | 12.0 x 16.3 cm (sheet of paper) | RCIN 854619

An engraving by Adamo Ghisi depicting three men sacrificing a pig. Trimmed within the platemark.

This print was catalogued by Bartsch as after a drawing by Giulio Romano. This drawing (now lost) was related to an ancient sculpture in the National Archaeological Museum, Naples, although most probably derived from a gem of the same subject (see Bibliographic References).
