This drawing is a copy of the group at the right of 'The family of the Madonna', a painting by Perugino (c.1500-1502) commissioned for the chapel of Angelo di Tommaso Conti in Santa Maria degli Angeli, Perugia and now in the Musée des Beaux Arts, Marseille. This drawing is catalogued by Ferino Pagden (see Bibliographic References) as a workshop copy.
