A left leg

c.1853-1876

Albumen print | 15.0 x 9.3 cm (sheet of paper) | RCIN 854413

A photograph of a drawing depicting a left leg now in the Biblioteca Ambrosiana, Milan (inv. no. 355). Annotated on the verso.

The online catalogue of the drawings in the Biblioteca Ambrosiana (see Bibliographic References) states that Padre Sebastiano Resta (the previous owner of this drawing) attributed the study to Raphael, but the drawing is now considered to be by a sixteenth-century artist of the North Italian or Venetian school.
