    An engraving after a painting by Raphael (c.1514) now in the Pinacoteca Nazionale, Bologna (inv. no.577). Only state. Lettered at lower right: MAF. RAPH. IVE. The engraving differs from the the painting in several details. It has been suggested that the engraving may have been based upon a lost design by Raphael, possibly copied in a drawing attributed to G.F. Penni now in the Petis Palais, Paris (inv. Dutuit 980; RCIN 851476) which may have served as modello for the engraving.
