A print after a drawing by Raphael (c.1502-03) now in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. Ruland (1876) interpreted the figure as St Stephen. It is now generally thought that the drawing may be a study for a female figure (Mary Magdalene?). Lettered with title and production details. Published in W.Y. Ottley's Italian School of Design, London 1823.
