A woodcut after a copy of the so-called 'Portrait of Cesare Borgia', a painting formerly reputed to be by Raphael, catalogued by Ruland (1876) as being then in the Palazzo Borghese, Rome. The portrait was ceded to the Baron de Rothschild in 1891 in exchange of Pinturicchio's 'Crucifixion with St Jerome and St Cristopher' currently in the Galleria Borghese, Rome (inv. no.377).
