A print reproducing in reverse and with many alterations the self-portrait depicted in the fresco 'The School of Athens' painted by Raphael in c.1509-10 in the Stanza della Segnatura, Vatican. Lettered with the title. Signed by the printmaker with publication details. Frontispiece to "An Analysis of the Picture of the Transfiguration",1817.
