An engraving by the Master of the Die depicting The Road to Calvary. Signed and dated by the printmaker with his initial. Trimmed within the platemark.
This print shares some elements with the so-called Spasimo di Sicilia, a painting by Raphael and his workshop (c.1515-6) now in the Prado, Madrid (inv. no. 298). See RCIN 850311 for a photograph of the painting.
