The Entombment of Christ
dated 1817Lithograph | 35.4 x 24.2 cm (sheet of paper) | RCIN 850550
A lithograph depicting The Entombment of Christ which Ruland (1876) catalogued as being after a painting then in Munich. Signed and dated by the printmaker with the attribution of the design to Raphael.
This lithograph shows similarities with a print by Enea Vico (see RCIN 850548 for it) and a currently untraceable drawing (see RCIN 850547 for a photograph of it) that Massari (see Bibliographic References) believes to be by Raphael.
