An engraving by Enea Vico depicting The Entombment of Christ. Signed and dated by the printmaker with his monogram. Lettered with the attribution of the design to Raphael and publication details. Trimmed within the platemark.
Massari (see Bibliographic References) catalogued this print as being after a drawing attributed to Parmigianino, which was previously in the collection of Lord Arundel (see RCIN 850546 for a print after this drawing). Parmigianino also etched The Entombment of Christ in two different versions which Gnann (see Bibliographic References) dates c.1524-1525.
