Massari (see Bibliographic References) catalogued this print as being after a drawing attributed to Parmigianino, which was previously in the collection of Lord Arundel (see RCIN 850546 for a print after this drawing). Parmigianino also etched 'The Entombment of Christ' in two different versions which Gnann (see Bibliographic References) dates c.1524-1525.
