The Entombment of Christ

A photograph of a drawing depicting The Entombment of Christ which Ruland (1876) catalogued as being then in the collection of Mr Grahl, Dresden. 

According to Cordellier/Py (see Bibliographic References) a print by Lucas Vostermann (see RCIN 850554 for it) reproduces a drawing by Raphael depicting The Entombment of Christ when in the Arundel collection. The composition of this drawing (now lost) is known through other drawings; among them, one in the Louvre, Paris (inv. no. 10165; probably reproduced in the print at RCIN 850553), one listed by Ruland (1876) as being then in the possession of Sir George Warnon but not included in the Raphael Collection and one now in the Albertina, Vienna (inv. no. 1977; see RCIN 850556 for a photograph of it).
