The composition is better known through an engraving by Agostino Veneziano, the later state of which is dated 1518. For an impression of this print, see RCIN 851167.
The print shows the Infant Baptist being supported by an angel on the left while reaching for the Christ Child, who is held by His mother; another winged angel with hands crossed on his chest at right; in an interior with a curtain draped behind them.
