The Virgin and Child with the Infant Baptist and two Angels

A print reproducing a composition which has been formerly ascribed to Raphael. Dated and signed with monogram at upper right (see Nagler, I, no.1423). Later state, with the date changed to 1518. The print shows the Infant Baptist being supported by an angel on the left while reaching for the Christ Child, who is held by His mother; another winged angel with his hands crossed on his chest at right; in an interior with a curtain draped behind them.
