Photograph of the hillside where the Guard's Battery was based during the Battle of Inkerman. The drop of the valley can just be seen in the distance. The Battle of Inkerman, one of the early battles of the Crimean War, was fought on the 5th of November 1854 in the countryside around the town of Inkerman.
