Photograph of Maréchal Pélissier mounted on a horse facing left. He is wearing military uniform and has a sword attached to his belt. Behind him there is a building with an open doorway and a small set of stone steps. A man stands to the right of the doorway. Maréchal Pélissier commanded the French troops during the Siege of Sevastopol and was made Marshal of France shortly after. He later became the Governor General of Algeria.
