Photograph of Lord Raglan (1788-1855) outside his Headquarters with Maréchal Pélissier (1794-1864), Lord Burghersh (1825-1891), an aide-de-camp of Maréchal Pélissier and a Saphis officer. Lord Raglan is standing at the centre of the group to the left of the doorway, wearing a white hat. Maréchal Pélissier stands beside him to the right wearing a bicorn hat. Three men stand on the steps to the left and two stand to the right. The door of the building is open and there are trees on either side.
Lord Raglan commanded the British troops during the Crimean War and died in the Crimea shortly after the Siege of Sevastopol.
