Photograph of Lieutenant-General Burgoyne sitting on a chair facing slightly left. His right arm is draped over the back of the chair and he is holding a sword in his left hand. He is wearing military uniform and there is a patterned carpet on the floor. Lieutenant-General Burgoyne was the Inspector-General of Fortifications during the Crimean War. He later became the Commander of the Tower of London.
