Photograph of Ismail Pacha (Kmety Gyorgy, 1813-1865) with a group of Turkish officers. Ismail Pacha is mounted on a horse facing left with one soldier standing behind the horse and three standing in a row alongside it. All are wearing military uniform and carry swords. There is open land behind.

Ismail Pacha was a Hungarian soldier whose real name was György Kmety. After the Hungarian Revolution he joined the Ottoman army and played a significant role in the Crimean War.
