Photograph of a group of eleven soldiers gathered in front of a wooden hut which is partly covered in canvas. Seven of the men are standing and three are sitting, with one lying on the ground smoking a long pipe. All are wearing military uniform. There is a large coil of rope leaning against the wall of the hut and a cannonball on the ground to the left.
