Photograph of a group of soldiers from the 4th Dragoon Guards gathered on a hillside around a wooden hut. One man is lying down and the rest are standing or sitting. There is a horse facing left and a man standing in front of it smoking a long pipe and looking down at a sheep. All are wearing military uniform. The 4th Dragoon Guards served during the Crimean War and fought in the Battle of Balaklava.
