Photograph of General Sir Henry William Barnard standing facing partly right with his right hand tucked into his jacket. He is wearing civilian clothes and is resting his top hat on the table beside him to the right. This photograph, printed by Jabez Hughes in 1883, is a carbon print pasted over the original photograph.

General Barnard served during the Crimean War and later died of cholera on active service in India.
