Photograph of General Bosquet (1810-1861) giving orders to his staff. He stands at the centre of the group pointing left with his right hand. Two soldiers stand on either side of him. All are wearing military uniform and carry swords. A cloth wall and a pole can be seen behind. General Bosquet was a senior French military figure during the Crimean War and was involved in the Siege of Sevastopol and the Battle of Inkerman.
