Photograph of a line of horses pulling a field gun carriage. They are facing right with mounted troops marching in front of them. There is a long line of tents behind, with horses standing alongside. On the hillside behind there are a number of wooden huts and smaller tents. Field guns, also known as field pieces, are movable artillery specially designed to support front line troops.
