Photograph of a full length portrait of Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII (1841-1910) standing, facing the camera. He places his right arm on a draped support. The Prince of Winter is dressed as winter and wears a white beard and wig, fur lined shirt, trousers and boots, a wide-brimmed hat and cloak. Fake snow has been attached to the hat and cloak.
The Prince of Wales is dressed for a performance of 'Tableaux of the Seasons', performed at Windsor Castle on 10 February 1854.
